Hospice - Registered Nurse - RN Team Manager New

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced RN, Registered Nurse for a Hospice RN Team Manager role for a Home Hospice Program that provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. Qualified candidates will be a NYS RN with extensive experience within Hospice Case Management, clinical management and will have prior Hospice, Palliative Care and/or Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) experience with Interdisciplinary Teams, Medicare CMS, preferred.

Hospice RN Team Manager

The Hospice RN Team Manager supports the Hospice Associate Director of Patient Services by providing leadership and mentoring guidance to the nursing staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the program. Schedules staff assignments. Empowers RN Case Managers through mentoring excellence. Monitors and evaluates the quality and completion of nursing documentation. Makes community presentations in conjunction with Admissions/Outreach Departments.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN or BS degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of Hospice nursing experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• New York State RN licensure required.
• National Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN) preferred or obtains certification within one year of hire.
• Word, Outlook, and Windows experience required.
• Ability to effectively supervise and mentor Hospice nursing staff.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
