Qualifications

  • Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement required
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
  • RNFA Certification required

Scheduling Requirements

  • Part Time, Day Shift
  • 30 hours weekly
  • On Call requirement (minimum 2 on-call shifts a month)

Essential Functions

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
  • Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Newark Beth Isreal and the Department of Surgery.
  • Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
